Labelling machines

Front and back labelling machine range

Compare automatic, compact and top/bottom labelling machinery for bottles, jars, cartons, flat packs and shaped containers.

Buyer search routes

These pages match common search terms buyers use when looking for front/back, two-label and double-sided labelling equipment.

Which machine route is right?

An automatic twin side labeller is usually the right route for higher-throughput front and back labels on bottles and shaped containers. A compact twin-side labeller suits smaller batches and limited floorspace. A top and bottom labelling machine suits flat products, cartons, trays and sleeves needing labels on both faces.

  • Start with container dimensions, label dimensions and label position.
  • Confirm whether the label is paper, film or transparent.
  • Check product stability, conveyor handling and required speed.
  • Plan integration with date coding, filling, capping and inspection.

Self adhesive label applicator machines

Self adhesive label applicator machines apply pressure-sensitive labels from a reel to the product surface. For front and back labelling, the machine must also control pa…

Two sided bottle label applicators

A two sided bottle label applicator is used when the bottle needs separate front and rear labels instead of one wraparound label. It is commonly used for branding on the…

Choose the labeller from the pack geometry and production method

The automation level is only one part of the decision. Product presentation, label position, changeover frequency and surrounding line equipment determine whether a compact or fully automatic route is appropriate.

Separate front and back labels at established line speedAutomatic Twin Side Labeller — two independently adjusted label heads with controlled product handling for continuous production.
Smaller footprint, short batches or frequent product trialsCompact Twin Side Labeller — a space-conscious route where the final output and loading method are confirmed against the application.

Evidence to request before sign-off

A useful demonstration or factory trial should record the exact container, production label roll, label-head settings, stabilisation method, normal running speed and the agreed measurement datum. A headline speed should not be treated as a guaranteed output unless the pack, label and test conditions are also defined.

  • Run both label heads together with the intended front and back labels.
  • Include normal starts, stops and a representative continuous run.
  • Measure a stated sample, not a single best container.
  • Repeat the setup after a normal format change where changeover repeatability matters.

Details for the quotation

Provide container drawings or dimensions, label size and material, roll direction, target output, available floor space, power and air requirements where known, plus information about fillers, cappers, coders, inspection and conveyors. The front/back labelling enquiry checklist gives a structured starting point.

Additional configurations

Choose by label faces and handling sequence

Use these routes when the finished pack needs more than a standard pair of opposing labels.
