Container and product environment

Oil and lubricant packs can include flat bottles, oval containers, jerrycan-style packs and larger bottles. Label material must suit handling, surface condition and potential product exposure.

Because bottles can be heavier when filled, the line layout and conveyor design should also be reviewed.

Durable label requirements

Labels for oils and lubricants may carry product identification, safety information, barcodes and batch details. Film labels or stronger adhesives may be required depending on the pack and usage environment.

Sensor selection still matters, especially for clear, reflective or unusual label materials.

• Confirm barcode and rear information label position.
• Plan coding or inspection requirements.

Handling larger containers

Larger or heavier containers may require stronger conveyor support, suitable guide rails and careful transitions into and out of the labeller. The machine route should be planned around the real pack dimensions and filled weight.

• Send height, width, depth and filled weight.
• Check handle or cap protrusions.
• Confirm conveyor height and line direction.

Compact or automatic route

Lower-volume oil and lubricant products may suit compact systems, while automatic twin-side labellers are better for integrated lines and higher output. The quotation should include machine, change parts, installation and aftercare scope where relevant.
